Our History

Traditions are not born from a single act but built from years of effort, and VicBears Inc has had some momentous milestones since its original creation in 1998.

Key members from our community have come together to celebrate and highlight these milestones documented below.

1998 - MelBears is Incorporated

VicBears is founded by Roy Burns and the first ever VicBears committee including Adamm Ferrier, etc.

2001 - VicBears is Born!

With its new name, VicBears Incorporated publicly acknowledges its representation of more than just the urban Melbourne Bears.

2010 - VicBears Rebranding

VicBears Rebrands with a newer, modern logo – courtesy of Alexander Evans.

2018 - AGM - Our Current Committee

On the 8th August 2018, our current committee was voted in unanimously.
