Over the last few weeks, we’ve all started to embrace the need of physical distancing. It’s important to remind ourselves though, that physical distancing doesn’t have to mean social isolation. Incredible connections have and will continue to be forged across any distance. Online communities and resources can provide comfort and support for many individuals.
The VicBears Committee have spent some time exploring what we can do to help our community. In the next few weeks we will be sharing some new events and activities we can all participate in, from the comfort of our homes.
The first part of this is releasing our very own Discord Chat Server. Discord is one of the easiest way to regularly communicate over text, voice and video. Whether you’re part of a school club, a worldwide art community or just a handful of friends that want to hang out.
Over the next few months we hope to develop this into a true community hub where you can come chat to fellow VicBears members and our community. You’ll be able to join in a range of fun events and activities while keeping in touch with people near and far.
Our Discord Chat Server is a new initiative for VicBears and will continue to evolve with all of us as we use it.
Please join us by going to http://discord.gg/AUxvDkN setting up an account (if you don’t have one) and waiting for one of the committee admins to add you in! Once there, feel free to jump on the General Chat and start talking.
NB: When you join our Discord server, I do have to approve it first, apologies if it takes a bit of time. I’m not *always* in front of my computer! Thank you for your patience! 😊
As always, there are a few rules that we all need to abide by to keep things running smoothly.
Please visit https://wp.me/P9TMw7-pb and familiarise yourself with them. But the general rules are be respectful and have fun!
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll be happy to assist!
Have fun and remember, those paws don’t clean themselves!
